Deck the Dolls 2009

I don't mean to skip Thanksgiving. It was a great time with family. We celebrated on Wednesday with Steven's family in Arlington. Then came back home on Thursday to hang out with my family (minus michelle as she was in Hawaii again for our Thanksgiving in Paradise event at work) and of course start our Christmas shopping bright and early at 4:30 am. This time we started at Sams of all places. We walked straight in, got a new tv for our bedroom and we our very quickly. We enjoyed about 5 hours of shopping and headed back to the house to start decorating for Christmas.

Then it was time for the first annual Deck the Dolls party. My aunt was interested in having a girls day and possibly seeing the nutcracker. Well if you know me at all, you know that I am always game to plan a party!! Thus began the 1st annual Deck the Dolls party. There were 14 of us, including my grandmother who we kidnapped and surprised with the event. We met for brunch at a great place called Taverna. Then headed to the brand new Winspear Opera House in Dallas to see the Nutcracker. It was beautiful. At the end of act one, while it was snowing on stage, it suddenly started snowing over the audience. It was very very cool! Everyone enjoyed themselves and we are looking forward to Deck the Dolls 2010 and the Rockette Spectacular show....my personal favorite!!
